We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own and evolve the core CannBus platform — from the member-facing business directory and product catalog tools to the backend infrastructure that powers our publications and lead generation engine. You'll work directly with the founding team, move fast, and have high ownership over the systems you build.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features for the CannBus member platform (profiles, catalogs, lead tools, publications)
  • Architect scalable backend systems handling real-time member data, search indexing, and publication delivery
  • Own front-end performance across devices — our members include operators in dispensaries on mobile

CannBus's law library and regulatory intelligence is one of our most-valued products. You'll be the person responsible for keeping it accurate, current, and genuinely useful for cannabis business operators — turning complex regulatory changes into clear, actionable summaries that businesses can actually use.

The Process

How We Hire

We move quickly and respect your time. Here's what to expect from application to offer.

1
Apply

Submit your application through the role listing. Include a cover letter telling us why this role and why CannBus.

2
Initial Review

Our team reviews every application personally. No automated rejections. You'll hear back within 5 business days.

3
Intro Call

30-minute video call with a member of the team — a two-way conversation about the role, your experience, and our platform.

4
Skills Assessment

A focused, paid take-home task or live working session (90 min max). We design tasks that reflect real work — no trick puzzles.

5
Final Interview

Meet 2–3 members of the team. We'll discuss your assessment, alignment with our values, and mutual expectations.

6
Offer

We make decisions fast. You'll receive a written offer within 48 hours of your final interview if we're moving forward.

Our Culture

How We Work Together

We're not building a culture document — we're building a team. These are the things we genuinely believe in.

01
Ownership Over Process

Every person at CannBus owns outcomes, not tasks. We don't micromanage and we don't create unnecessary process. If something needs doing and it's yours to do, you do it.

02
Clarity in Writing

We're a remote team. Clear, direct written communication is not a nice-to-have — it's how we work. We write to think, to decide, and to keep each other aligned without endless meetings.

03
Industry Respect

We take the cannabis industry seriously. The businesses we serve are licensed, legitimate, and working hard in a complex regulatory environment. Our work should reflect that seriousness.

04
Quality Over Speed

We move fast but we don't ship garbage. When something goes out under the CannBus name — a feature, a report, a law summary — it should be something we're proud of.

🌿

Don't See the Right Role Yet?

We hire for talent and fit as much as we hire for a specific opening. If you believe in what we're building and think you'd be a strong addition to the team — in any capacity — we'd love to hear from you. Send us an open application and tell us how you'd contribute.
